At the Slash J Slash, we pride ourselves on our deep connection to the land and the animals that call this place home. Our experienced stable managers, Tyler Klees and Laura Mauck, bring a patient, compassionate, and authentic approach to their work, helping horses and riders to develop a strong bond of trust and communication. With our close proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park and the stunning natural scenery of Grand Lake, our boarders have access to some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the country. We are excited to embark on this new chapter in the ranch’s history and to continue sharing our knowledge and passion with the Grand Lake community.

The Ranch
Originally settled as a homestead in the late 1800’s, the Slash J Slash is located on 880 acres in beautiful Grand Lake, Colorado. An active cattle ranch for over 100 years, beginning in 2023 we expanded to offer services for horse boarding, training, clinics, lessons, and sales.

We are proud to offer horses from the renowned Bath Brothers Ranch in Laramie, Wyoming. Breeding top-quality Quarter Horses for over 50 years, they have a long history of producing champions in cutting, reining, and working cow horse events.
